China Badminton Open 2017 will be held from November 14 to 19 in Fuzhou Strait Olympic Sports Center. Reporters were informed yesterday of the participation of national badminton player Tian Houwei who is of Fuzhou ancestry. Tian jumped into the top eight in the China Open last year, and this year he has set up a higher goal. He expressed disappointment in the interview with Fuzhou Nightly News yesterday for missing the winner prize in the badminton men’s team finals hosted in Tianjian and expected to have an outstanding performance in the forthcoming competition.

Tian Houwei had just finished his training yesterday afternoon when reporters called him. After China Badminton Open in Tianjin, Tian had a short rest and dedicated himself to Japan Open 2017 and Denmark Open 2017 of BWF World Superseries.

“My head has been crowded. Because of poor perfomance in the male final competition, I feel regretful and guilty.” Nevertheless, the experience has taught him a lot, said Tian.

When mentioning the Badminton Open to be held in his hometown Fuzhou, Tian took his participation in the competition for granted. His goal is to achieve higher than he did last year.

It is the right time for Tian Houwei who was born in 1992 to fulfill his potential and purpose. Tian was regarded to be introvert and short of passion on the badminton court. “For a player, performance is the best expression”, said Tian. He also expressed his desire and passion to win the competition.
